IC in BB5 (Baseband 5)
BB5 or Base Band Generation 5 has a variety of ICs such as:
1. RAP3G/GSM (3G Radio Application Processor)
The main functions to manage the process of working phones. Retu voltage obtained from the VIO 1.8 Volt, and the Vcore 1.4 Volt from TAHVO.
2. OMAP (Open Multimedia Audio Processor)
Function to set the User Interface such as Camera, MMC, keypad, LCD, etc.. OMAP get a supply voltage of 1.8 volts retu is VIO.
3. NAND Flash (APE Combo Memory)
This memory contains the application data and user data User Interface settings. NAND Flash ICs have supply voltages of the VIO Power retu VDRAM 1.8 Volt and 1.8 Volt. NAND Flash is the support of OMAP in other words accessed by the OMAP NAND (RAP3G not access the NAND Flash).
4. NOR Flash + SDRAM (CMT Memory)
This memory contains vital data containing the main function of the phone firmware, calibration and Certificate ID. VIO supply voltage of 1.8 volts retu. NOR Flash is only accessible by RAP3G only (no access OMAP NOR Flash).
Power Suply or IC power in BB5 differ in DCT1-4, WD2 and Linda. In no CCONT DCT3, DCT4 UEM-WD3 there. While in BB5 itself is divided into 2 retu and TAHVO. Unlike in DCT4 (UEM) to the two ic replacement does not require or IMEI RPL because both ic does not store data only as a power supply only.
5. Retu
Retu is the Main Power ICs are responsible for providing supply voltage to the CPU, the SIM Card, and Startup Power and voltage other vital. Also the audio signal processing (Vibrator, Microphone, Earphone and Speaker Phone). Damage to retu can cause the total dead cell phone and other damage. Another function of the set of LED lighting retu both LCD / Keypad Led. Keypad LED will not light up when in a bright room. ALS (Ambient Light Sensor) is located in front of the phone casing in the form of light-sensitive transistor.
6. TAHVO
TAHVO is second in charge of the Power IC also provides voltage to the CPU, battere charging voltage (charging), flashing voltage and LED voltage.
In the family BB5 signal is also different from previous generations. Here too is divided into 2 parts, namely HINKU and VINKU as the executor of the signal path.
7. HINKU
HINKU is a component of the signal receiver (Receiver). Incoming signal to a mobile phone which is then processed by Hinku will be sent to RAP3G and output on the speakers.
8. VINKU
VINKU is a component of the signal transmitter (Transmitter). The sound coming from the mic towards RAP3G VINKU forwarded to and reinforced by the PA and transmitted to the provider.
